MENA KAMEL CPDT-KA, CBA

Mena is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and a behavior consultant in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has been working with dogs since 2013, specializing in reactivity, puppy raising, separation anxiety, and aggression. He has been involved with several community initiatives, including co-founding Humane Dog Training Advocates, an educational non-profit that provides free and reduced-cost training scholarships for low-income households. From 2017-2019, he developed content for Choose Positive Design and Media, a design shop specializing in website design and digital media content for service providers who use positive reinforcement methods. He has developed and taught curricula for award-winning behavior and training organizations in the East Bay, including Bravo!Pup Puppy and Dog Training, Dodger's Paws, and Mighty Mutts. He has worked with various animals in local shelters including Berkeley Humane Society, East Bay SPCA, Native Bird Connections, and Contra Costa Animal Services. He's a supporting member of The International Animal Association of Behavior Consultants (IAABC), a professional member of The Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), and a graduate of the Canine Behavior Academy (CBA, Levels I & II).
